Office Flow

The goal of my office is simple.  I want you to leave my office thinking 3 things.

1.    That was the easiest eye care experience I have ever had
2.    That was the most thorough eye care experience I have ever had.
3.    I am seeing better than I ever have.  

For this to happen, ever step of the eye care process must flow together.  My staff is dedicated to you achieving these goals.  We have a team approach to eye care.  It starts from the first phone call you make to the office:    

Kim- Receptionist
Kim will answer any questions you may have.  She has exceptional phone skills and is very knowledgeable about our products and services.  She will find an examination time that is convenient for you, and her smile will make you feel welcome once you arrive. We strive to minimize paperwork. Your time is valuable and we realize that.  We have eliminated as much paperwork as possible to expedite your visit.  Upon arrival, your insurance information will be verified and Kim will have most of your paperwork completed.

Chris- Lead technician
Chris has been with our office for more than 12 years.   As our lead technician, she will guide you through the preliminary testing procedures.  Her job skills are refined.  She will take your medical history and find out exactly what visual challenges you face.  During the pre-testing process Chris will perform a thorough evaluation of your vision.  We utilize wave front abberometry to determine your prescription reducing the tedious process of choosing, “which is better 1 or 2”.  Our instrument is one of only 600 units in the country.  Our pre-testing procedure also involves an Optomap retinal image to document the health of your inner eye.  Following the pre-testing the doctors will review all the gathered data and discuss with you in detail the results.

Barbara – Contact Lens technician
Should your visit involve contact lenses, Barbara is our go to person having more than 16 years of experience.  Every contact lens patient receives corneal topography and diagnostic contact lens fitting.  Our practice has extensive experience with contact lenses and our doctors have participated in several studies for the contact lens industry.  Barbara has training in the area of specialty contact lenses and has the patience to teach any motivated patient how to use contact lenses.  Whether you have worn contact lenses for years, or you are intimidated by putting something on your eye, Barbara will meet all of your contact lens needs.

Michelle- Optician
Picking a frame that fits well and deciphering all the available lens options can be a daunting task.  Michelle has more than 7 years of experience to make the process fun and easy.  Her sense of style will keep you looking sharp and her skill, as an Optician, will have you seeing your best.  We have a frame for any face and any budget.   If you are fashion forward or budget conscious Michelle has the skills to meet your specific visual needs.

Vicki- Optician
20 years in the field has equipped Vicki with the skills that only come from experience.  Her skill set is only matched by her sense of style.  She is a dedicated employee who consistently goes above and beyond to meet patient needs.  Frame selection can be intimidating but not when Vicki is available to help

Eric- Optician
A good Optician requires meticulous attention to detail and with 25 years of experience Eric is an exceptional Optician.   A great pair of glasses does not occur by accident.  Proper measurements and frame selection are essential to excellent vision.  New lens technology is constantly evolving and keeping abreast of the technology is an integral part of Eric’s passion.

Sylvia- Insurance Coordinator
Insurance has a language all its own.  Sylvia speaks the language fluently.  She has received specialized education in billing and coding.  Any confusion you may have about your plan, Sylvia is happy to answer.  If you have vision insurance Sylvia will make sure that you utilize your insurance benefits to their best potential.

Lisa- Quality Control
Lisa's personality has become synonymous with quality control. She has been with our office for more than 17 years.  In her current position, she is responsible for all quality measures in our office.  Constantly, she evaluates every detail of the patient encounter in order to maximize efficiency and ease of patient flow.  Her other duties involve reconciling bills and controlling expenses.

Diana- Office Manager
Diana is our office manager.  Her ability to multitask with a pleasant demeanor will make you feel at ease and welcome.  She understands that our sole purpose is to make your visit easy and informative no matter what that may require.  As a certified Optometric Assistant, Diana possesses the skills to handle your needs.  Diana handles the business aspects of the practice in addition to her managerial duties.
